AHC Oberflächentechnik GmbH comprises 15 sites with headquarters in Kerpen, near Cologne. The business of the AHC Group is focused on providing functional coating of technical surfaces as a service. Components e.g. for the automotive industry, the mechanical engineering market or for electricals and electronics are protected against corrosion and wear or given special properties by using patented and in-house-developed processes. Well established processes are hard anodising (HART-COAT®) and Electroless Nickel plating (DURNI-COAT®). With the first process, a hard oxide layer is produced on aluminium-based materials, whereas with the second process, a nickel-phosphorus alloy of specific composition is deposited on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Further coatings are suited for magnesium (MAGOXID-COAT®) or titanium materials (KEPLA-COAT®), serve as dry lubricant anti-friction coatings (GLISS-COAT®) or are used in case of loads by friction and vibration corrosion (DURALLOY®).
For patented coatings, licenses are granted all over the world. Worldwide, together with RIAG Oberflächentechnik AG, we cover all the needs for process chemicals for electroless and electrochemical processes for the treatment of metals and plastics.
Research and development are of great importance to the AHC group. Existing processes and applications are optimised and new opportunities are constantly being developed.
