Chlorine Dioxide generator
Chlorine Dioxide Generation Plant
TRITON
Risk less Chlorine Dioxide Generators
The TRITON generation process (step reaction) excludes the
latently present danger potential of traditional chlorine dioxide
plants right from the beginning! *)
TRITON plants work with a projecting gas chamber and
generate aqueous chlorine dioxide solutions below the critical
concentration without counter-pressure.
Applications for TRITON plants
 Disinfecting, bio-film removal and
legionella prophylaxis in drinking water
systems of public institutions, such as in
old-age homes, hospitals, schools,
kindergarten, swimming pools and hotels.
 Bio-film and algae removal in the cooling
tower circulating water and additional water.
 Disinfecting of process waters and air
washers
 Bottle disinfection in the beverages
industry
 Disinfecting foodstuffs in the foodstuffs
industry
Apart from the applications mentioned above, there are many other
possibilities in which chlorine dioxide can be used as a safe and cost-effective
disinfectant and can substitute other disinfectants such as chlorine and per
acetic acid.
*)“Gaseous chlorine dioxide is explosive from a concentration of 300 g/m³ onwards. A
critical chlorine dioxide concentration must be reckoned with, for example, above an
aqueous chlorine dioxide solution with a concentration of more than 8 g/l chlorine
dioxide and at a temperature of 20°C. Without a projecting gas chamber, chlorine
dioxide solutions from a concentration of about 30 g/l can explode. For these reasons,
chlorine dioxide in concentrated form cannot be either stored or transported as a gas
or as an aqueous solution”. (Source: DVGW Worksheet W 224)
