The Edelmann company was founded in 1936 by Elimar Edelmann in Königsberg, East Prussia, and has been in possession of the family since that time.
Until 1945 production concentrated on cylinder and crankshaft grinding and the new manufacture and repair of transmission main shaft, connecting shaft and crankshaft bearing.
In 1947 production was resumed in Plochingen, Württemberg.
With our move to a new production facility in 1970, the cylinder and crankshaft grinding area was discontinued in favour of expanding the production of white metal slide bearings of different designs and forms, from the bearing bushing up to complex two-part bearing shells with thrust faces or axial tilting thrust pads.
In 1997 the individual proprietorship was transformed into the Edelmann Gleitlagertechnik GmbH.
Since 2002 the company is a member of the Association of German Machine and Installation Manufacturers (VDMA).
Today we supply leading manufacturers of gears, turbines, power transmissions, compressors, screw compressors and turbomachines – our bearings are worldwide in operation.

Gießereigruppe mit mehreren Standorten:

• Schleuderguss in Edelstahl, Buntmetallen und Aluminium bis 5m Länge oder 6m Durchmesser und max. 20 to Stückgewicht
• Buntmetallsandguss in allen Legierungen von 1 Kg bis 2 to Stückgewicht, max. Formkastenabmessungen 2 X 2m.
• Mehrstoffalubronze sowie Nickelbronze bis 50 to Stückgewicht, max. Formkastenabmessungen 5 X 5m
