Established in Furtwangen in 1894 as a small mechanical workshop, company founder Otto Ganter hit on the idea in 1912 to standardize operating elements - years before the German Industry Norm (DIN) came into being. An idea thriving and growing into a sustained model of success: today, the family-owned company in its fourth generation is present worldwide and keeps on growing. Over 400 people at the company‘s Black Forest headquarters permanently develop new elements, manufacture with ultimate precision and quality and ensure the fastest possible shipping. 85 percent of all orders leave our plant within 24 hours - a speed which sets standards. And with over 60,000 available variants, Ganter offers an unrivalled range and variety of standard parts.
What became known as the Ganter Standard after its launch 100 years ago eventually turned into an indispensable feature in many engineering and construction offices - and with it the Ganter catalogue, showing the entire range of products with all their characteristics on around 1,900 pages in the most recent 17th edition. The Ganter catalogue has long been a much sought-after manual which has successfully helped and accompanied generations of designers and developers. And - this being the digital age - all the data are also available online and can be loaded into all common CAD programs.
If, by any chance, there is a standard part that you need and cannot find in the extensive range of products, the people at Ganter will set to work to close the gap and develop a customized solution. Our portfolio is already vast with its more than 50,000 standard fasteners- good to know that our online catalogue and our employees‘ know-how keep the overview. But since norms cannot meet all requirements, our programme of products goes beyond DIN data sheets and factory recommendations: special productions according to drawings- from the special type of screws to the plate bending part- complete our offer. We have our own innovations in our programme of products as well. One of our specialties are magnetic plug systems.
They collect the abrasion in gearbox cases or serve as a specially constructed fuel level plunger in wind power stations. In addition we have been involved in further developments of suspension arrangements in the field of mining and tunnel construction. Besides we offer extended screws for which there was a special annex to the DIN norms for the open line construction. A cleverly devised and software-supported stock-keeping and assignment sale make sure that our products are also delivered to you as soon as possible and in a perfectly compiled manner.

BTS Befestigungselemente-Technik GmbH
is a medium-sized company in the metalworking industry, focused on the manufacture and sale of fastening and connecting materials. The company was founded in 1983. It is located in Saarburg, on the Beurig industrial estate. A workforce of approximately 50 is employed.
In order to satisfy the increasingly difficult market requirements, at an early stage BTS established an ISO 9001 quality assurance system, which was certified by the TÜV-Rheinland technical inspection authority as early as December 1994. In addition, BTS also has a certified environmental management system according to ISO 14001. Further success factors in maintaining market share include maximum customer orientation and speed of reaction in processing customer orders.
