FRABA Gruppe
Die FRABA AG ist eine Gruppe von Unternehmen, die sich auf Nischen innerhalb der Industrieautomation spezialisiert hat. Zu den Tochterunternehmen gehört die POSITAL , die seit über 50 Jahren zu den führenden Herstellern absoluter Drehgeber und Neigungssensoren gehört. Zur FRABA Gruppe gehören unter anderem auch die Firmen VITECTOR, die Sensoren für Sicherheitsanwendungen herstellt.
Historie
Ursprünglich geht der Name FRABA auf die Initialen von Franz Baumgartner zurück, der die Firma 1918 in Köln gründete. Bis in die 60er Jahre lag der Schwerpunkt in der Serienfertigung von Relais. Hieraus entwickelte sich unter anderem der Bereich Systemtechnik mit über 13.000 installierten Maschinensteuerungen. 1963 beginnt FRABA den Verkauf von absoluten „Bürsten“-Gebern und 1973 folgte die Produktion der ersten optischen Absolutdrehgeber.
Entwicklung und Kundenbetreuung
Absolute Drehgeber und Neigungssensoren sind bis heute ein erklärungsbedürftiges Produkt, das über eine Vielzahl von Parametern und Schnittstellen an die Anforderungen der Applikation angepasst wird. An den Standorten der POSITAL in Deutschland, den USA und Asien liegen deshalb Entwicklung und
Kundenbetreuung in einer Hand. Um auch fernab dieser Standorte eine kompetente Beratung vor Ort und in der Landessprache zu gewährleisten, wurde ein Netzwerk internationaler und nationaler Vertriebspartner aufgebaut, das ständig erweitert wird.
Produktion
FRABA Produkte werden in einem hochmodernen Produktionsstandort in Europa gefertigt. Dieser liegt an der deutsch-polnischen Grenze in Slubice. Ein einheitliches, computerunterstütztes halbautomtisches Fertigungssystem steuert von der Bestellung bis zur Auslieferung alle Arbeitsabläufe. Selbst tausende von Produktvarianten werden mit einer Standardlieferzeit von 5 Tagen ausgeliefert.
