La force d'innovation fait partie de l'"ADN Rittal" depuis sa création. En 1961, l'entrepreneur Rudolf Loh a fondé la société Rudolf Loh Elektrogerätebau à Rittershausen. Objectif de l'entreprise : "des armoires électriques immédiatement disponibles en stock". L'année de la création de l'entreprise, la première armoire électrique de série au monde a été lancée sur le marché. En 1969, l'entreprise est rebaptisée Rittal, du nom de ses racines à Rittershausen, dans la vallée de Dietzhölztal. Quelques années plus tard, les armoires électriques Rittal sont devenues un standard mondial - et elles le sont toujours aujourd'hui.

For generations our motto has been ‘Service to customers’. A new company has been created on approx. 4,000 square metres which meets all modern requirements. Since 1996 we have been certified in accordance to ISO 9001 and we belong to the FSA [Professional Association for Ropes and Slings] as well as to the Federal Association of Rope, Net and Sail Makers. This expertise connected with regular training of our staff guarantee that you will be advised professionally and provided with quality service.

• We manufacture steel ropes in all sizes
• We produce cords in all thicknesses
• We inspect and maintain all lifting devices and load suspension devices
• We tear and test thoroughly, up to 400 kN, on our testing machines
• We manufacture and produce using traditional methods of rope splicing
• We have been training apprentices since 1950

FUHR is a middle class family business, whose headquarters have been located in the hardware mecca of Heiligenhaus since 1859. Here the company got their own research and development department, up-to-date testing equipment and an extensive array of manufacturing facilities.
The product spectrum reaches from modern window locking technology (turn and tilt) to forward looking multipoint locking systems (MULTISAFE), suitable for main entrance doors in houses and apartments.
With an innovative range of products which contains automatic-, panic- and motorised locks FUHR takes position in the increasing market of comfort and security requirement.
In addition to the manufacturing headquarters in Heiligenhaus FUHR also owns manufacturing plants in other countries like Poland for example, which are also certificated strict to the DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 guidelines.
With its staff of round about 220 people at the headquarters and an additional 100 very dedicated people operating out of various locations on behalf of FUHR, the company realized an export share of 75%.
Mainly in the Netherlands, the UK, the USA and the increasing market in eastern-europe.
