Le site Achenbach GmbH est spécialisé dans la conception, la construction, le montage et l'entretien de chaudières à vapeur ainsi que dans les techniques d'installation qui y sont liées. L'entreprise de chaudronnerie Achenbach & Sohn a été fondée en 1890. Elle est devenue Achenbach GmbH en 1987. Depuis plus de 125 ans, le nom d'Achenbach est synonyme de compétence en matière de chaudières à vapeur.
La révolution industrielle a véritablement pris son envol avec le développement de la machine à vapeur. L'énergie de la vapeur d'eau produite dans les chaudières à vapeur a été utilisée comme force motrice pour les machines et pour le chauffage.
