Our strengths as developers and innovators have grown organically on the foundation of our well over 100 years of experience in the textile industry. While in the beginning the company focused strictly on yard ware in the narrow textile segment, such as cords, tapes and braids, today our portfolio has been expanded to include high-tech solutions, often in combination with non-textile components.

In close consultation with our customers, we develop sophisticated, integrated textile solutions for precisely defined applications in cars, commercial vehicles, trains and aeroplanes as well as a host of other areas.

The Görlitzer Hanf & Drahtseilerei was founded in 1836.
For generations our motto has been ‘Service to customers’. A new company has been created on approx. 4,000 square metres which meets all modern requirements. Since 1996 we have been certified in accordance to ISO 9001 and we belong to the FSA [Professional Association for Ropes and Slings] as well as to the Federal Association of Rope, Net and Sail Makers. This expertise connected with regular training of our staff guarantee that you will be advised professionally and provided with quality service.
• We splice steel ropes up to 54 mm
• We manufacture steel ropes in all sizes
• We produce cords in all thicknesses
• We inspect and maintain all lifting devices and load suspension devices
• We tear and test thoroughly, up to 400 kN, on our testing machines
• We manufacture and produce using traditional methods of rope splicing
• We have been training apprentices since 1950
