Environmental impact studies and case-by-case review
Environmental impact studies identify, describe, and evaluate the effects of the project on people, animals, plants, soil, water, air, climate, and the landscape, as well as on cultural assets and material goods. The ecological base data for the individual environmental areas and protected objects are identified on the basis of specialized expert assessments or generally accessible information and data which can also be made available by the authorities. Environmental impact studies address interdependencies and discuss measures for preventing, reducing, or offsetting the identified effects.
