Watlow designs and manufactures industrial heaters, temperature sensors, controllers and system assemblies – all of the components of a thermal system. A empresa ECONOX foi fundada em 1984. Está situada no Jura suíço, a apenas 10 km da fronteira francesa. Inicialmente, a ECONOX desenvolvia e fabricava aparelhos de medição e controlo de atmosferas para tratamento térmico. A aventura só começou em 1986, com o registo da patente da primeira sonda de esfera de oxigénio. Desde então, esta solução, que se revelou a mais fiável e robusta, tem sido continuamente desenvolvida.

A partir de 2001, foram efectuados numerosos avanços para responder às necessidades crescentes e cada vez mais exigentes. Para a tecnologia de medição do oxigénio, foi criada a série de sondas de oxigénio CarboProbe para satisfazer as elevadas exigências da indústria cerâmica, dos laboratórios de investigação, dos ceramistas e das universidades. A ECONOX é o parceiro de eleição para qualquer sistema de medição de oxigénio (ou %C) e fornece componentes cerâmicos para universidades e laboratórios, bem como uma gama completa de termopares (K, S, N) numa variedade de comprimentos.
