We encounter textiles everywhere in life, including, of course, in industry. You wear them as clothes on your skin, give them animals made of plush or walk on carpets.Textiles are made of braided or woven fibres. This includes semi-finished and finished goods, such as yarn or fabrics. Finished goods made of leather or foil are not considered textile goods in the true sense of the word. Production is carried out by combining individual fibres, which are greatly expanded in two dimensions. They differed from other materials by their flexibility and their cross-section, i.e. the material thickness. The feeling that a fibre leaves on the human skin when worn is also very important for the use of the individual fibre variants. In today's textile industry, very large quantities of clothing and textile products are produced using special textile machines. Due to the high prevailing quality standard, these products are usually still subject to textile finishing. There are different types of textile fabrics, such as velvet, silk, terry, linen and many more. These variants are usually differentiated according to their use as technical textiles for industrial purposes and as home textiles, e.g. as clothing. The production of textiles is usually carried out using the spinning process. All yarns and synthetic fibres are produced with this machine. Complete textile surfaces can be produced as fabrics by processes such as weaving, walking, knitting and strengthening. Joints between individual surfaces are usually achieved by seams.
