China Import and Export Commodities Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, Founded in the spring of 1957, the fair is jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and undertaken by the China Foreign Trade Center. It is a comprehensive international trade fair with the longest history, the largest scale, the most complete range of commodities, the largest number of buyers, the widest distribution of countries and regions, the best trading results and the best reputation in China.
After 62 years of reform, innovation and development, the fair has undergone all kinds of severe tests without interruption, strengthened China's trade relations with the world, displayed China's image and development achievements, and served as a high-quality platform for Chinese enterprises to explore the international market and a guide and demonstration base for the implementation of China's foreign trade development strategy. Has become China's foreign trade first promotion platform, known as China's foreign trade barometer and weather vane, is China's opening up window, miniature and symbol.
By the 125th session of the Guangzhou Trade Fair, the cumulative export turnover was about US $1,383.4 billion, and the cumulative number of overseas buyers was about 8.8 million. At present, the exhibition scale of each Canton Fair is 1.185 million square meters, there are nearly 25,000 exhibitors both at home and abroad, and about 200,000 overseas buyers from 210 countries and regions attended the fair.
