Die Alexanderwerk AG in Remscheid wurde im Jahre 1885 von Herrn Alexander von der Nahmer als Eisengießerei mit mechanischen Werkstätten zur Herstellung kleiner Maschinen und Apparate für Anwendungen aller Art, sowie Maschinen und Geräte für den Haushalt gegründet.
