Die Wurzeln von EFD Induction reichen zurück in das Jahr 1950 als das deutsche Unternehmen Induktionserwärmung Fritz Düsseldorf GmbH (FDF) eine stationäre Induktionshärtungsanlage auf den Markt brachte.
Während FDF in den siebziger Jahren expandierte, fand in Norwegen eine Induktionsrevolution statt. Dort hatten Ingenieure herausgefunden wie man Frequenzumrichter für die induktive Erwärmung transistorisiert.
1981 gründeten drei dieser Ingenieure ELVA Induksjon a.s. 1983 stellten sie die Minac-Reihe mit mobilen Umrichtern der Öffentlichkeit vor. Die Werkstücke mussten nicht mehr für Unsummen zu einer stationären Induktionserwärmungsanlage transportiert werden – die Erwärmungsanlage konnte jetzt zu dem Werkstück kommen.
1991 begegneten sich die Geschäftsführer von FDF und ELVA zufällig. Sie unterhielten sich… und spekulierten. Die Stärke von FDF waren stationäre Induktionserwärmungsanlagen. ELVA war der geschickte und erfahrene Erfinder im Bereich neuer Anwendungen für die induktive Erwärmung. Was wäre, wenn die beiden Unternehmen sich zusammanschließen würden?
Im Januar 1996 fusionierten FDF und ELVA und gründeten EFD Induction. Und der Rest ist, wie gesagt, Geschichte.
Heute ist EFD Induction Europas größter Hersteller von Induktionslösungen für die Industrie (wir sind die Nummer Zwei weltweit, aber unser Ziel ist, das zu ändern!). In a team of 17, the people at COBES develops and produces series and specialequipment for customers of induction heating, capacity (dielectric) heating andplasma power supplies. In the market segments since the founding year 2002special solutions as customer solutions and series devices were developed,which show that customer proximity together with innovations and a network ofpowerful partners can be a successful strategy.
