Blue Wall - Finest Furniture Design aus der alten Schnapsbrennerei. Im Hinterhof des Düsseldorfer Stadtteiles Bilk befinden sich Ausstellungsräume, die Einrichtungsliebhaber aus ganz Deutschland gerne besuchen. Früher wurde in den Hallen hochprozentiger Schnaps abgefüllt. Jetzt erwarten die Besucher hundert Prozent Design. Das Atelier Blue Wall wurde 1986 von Stephan Hofer und Peter Franke gegründet. Spezialisiert haben sie sich auf elegante, zeitlose Tische, Original Lloyd Loom Stühle, wertige Lederstühle, bequeme Esszimmerstühle und zeitlose Designerstühle. Die Produktion begann im Jahre 1946. Trotz des Namens wurden - statt Stilmöbel - Fässer, Kasten, Bautischlerei-Erzeugnisse und Schreibtische hergestellt. Die Herstellung von Polstermöbeln begann 1948. Es wurden verschiedene Sofas, Sesseln, Matratzen und Liegen produziert. Am 6. März 1951 wurde der Betrieb in Świebodzin zum Teil des Großpolnischen Betriebes der Holzindustrie Poznań. Ein Jahr später, am 01.01.1952 gründete der Leichtindustrieminister einen staatlichen Betrieb unter dem Namen Świebodzińskie Fabryki Mebli (Świebodziner Möbelfabrik). Nach dem Paragraph 3 der Anordnung wurde zum Gegenstand der Betriebstätigkeit die Möbelartikel-Herstellung.

1957 eröffnete die Möbelfabrik ihre zweite Abteilung - bei der Jeziorowa-Straße. Der Grund dafür war die Notwendigkeit der Vergrößerung der Produktionskräfte und der Erweiterung des Artikelsortiments.

Der Name Lubuskie Fabryki Mebli entstand 1972. Die Anordnung des Forstwirtschafts- und Holzindustrieministers verursachte die Verbindung folgender staatlichen Betriebe: Möbelfabrik in Słubice, Möbelfabrik in Skwierzyna, Möbelfabrik in Świebodzin und Möbelfabrik in Witnica. Die Fusion trat am 1.Oktober in Kraft. Der Paragraph 2 informierte, dass die Möbelfabrik in Świebodzin nach der Verbindung das Vermögen der restlichen drei Betriebe übernimmt. 1976 wurde der Betrieb um den Betrieb in Dębno vergrößert. Nach zwei Jahren zerfiel jedoch diese Struktur und der Betrieb in Świebodzin blieb allein unter dem Namen Lubuskie Fabryki Mebli.

Nach der Wende, in den Jahren 1989/90, kam es in der Firma zu einer Transformation - sie wurde zu den Regeln der Marktwirtschaft angepasst. Eine vernünftige Politik derzeitiger Verwaltung und ziemlich große Materialreserven halfen der LFM diese schwierigen Zeiten zu überstehen.
Am 5. Dezember 1997 wurde das Unternehmen privatisiert - es wurde eine Aktiengesellschaft unter dem Namen Lubuskie Fabryki Mebli S.A. gegründet. Zu ihren Gründern gehören der Staat und Big Bank Gdański S.A. mit dem Sitz in Warschau. Das Stammkapital der Gesellschaft beträgt 13 400 050 zł.
