Die Impreglon SE wurde 1983 vom heutigen Vorstandsvorsitzenden Henning J. Claassen als Inhouse-Beschichtungsbetrieb seines Maschinenbau-
Unternehmens "Meltex" in Lüneburg gegründet. Nach dem Verkauf der Maschinenbausparte in 1989 wandelte sich Impreglon sukzessive zu einem international ausgerichteten Dienstleistungsunternehmen für Oberflächentechnik.
