l'entreprise ABT Sportsline est aujourd'hui le plus grand préparateur de véhicules des groupes VW et Audi et met également en œuvre de nombreuses activités de sport automobile pour la marque aux quatre anneaux. Mais dans une entreprise qui a plus de 125 ans d'histoire, ce qui compte aussi, c'est le passé dans lequel nous sommes enracinés. Je pense que les racines sont importantes pour se tenir debout, mais qu'elles ne doivent pas nous clouer au sol. Cette devise était déjà celle de mes aïeux. L'un d'entre eux, Johann Abt, a fondé en 1896 une "forge d'innovation" au sens propre du terme : au lieu de se limiter à la fabrication de fers à cheval et à la réparation de voitures hippomobiles, il a inventé une calèche qui pouvait également être utilisée comme traîneau pendant les hivers rudes et enneigés - un véritable hybride, donc. Depuis lors, notre entreprise familiale n'a cessé de se développer. Comme un torrent de montagne qui traîne un caillou et le pousse petit à petit vers des eaux de plus en plus grandes, l'esprit d'innovation de plusieurs générations nous a permis d'aller toujours plus loin. L'amour de la voiture s'est installé très tôt dans nos têtes et dans nos cœurs.
Lorsque le petit-fils du fondateur, Johann Abt, a participé à sa première course automobile en 1950 et a posé la première pierre de nos activités de sport automobile, l'AUTO-ABT existait déjà depuis longtemps à Kempten. Mon père appréciait également les voitures rapides au quotidien. C'est pourquoi il a fondé ABT Tuning en 1967. En 1978, il a amélioré la première VW Golf et a lancé le premier chiptuning sur le marché dès 1980. Ensuite, les choses se sont enchaînées. Et en 1991, le nouveau siège représentatif de l'entreprise a finalement été inauguré dans l'actuelle Johann-Abt-Straße, qui a été agrandi en 2014 par un impressionnant centre de sport automobile, et qui abrite également son propre musée.
Mon fils Daniel Abt suit lui aussi les traces que j'ai laissées, ainsi que celles de toute une série d'ancêtres très actifs. Mais depuis longtemps déjà, il laisse aussi ses propres traces et évolue avec son temps : en tant que youtubeur et chez ABT Sportsline
