Put simply we are a manufacturer of industrial Fiber Lasers used in 1000’s of manufacturing applications across the globe, from marking smart phone cases for some of the world’s biggest brands and metal material processing for the aerospace industry, through to plastic welding of automotive headlamps for major car manufacturers.
As is indicated by the name, a Fiber Laser delivers a beam of Laser light via a Fiber Optic cable as opposed to the conventional alternatives, the main difference being that most require adjustments and replacement parts, whereas Fiber Lasers are all solid-state and largely monolithic (mostly all one piece), meaning there are no parts to adjust or replace.

Die Pulsar Photonics GmbH ist ein 2013 gegründetes technologieorientiertes Spin-off des Fraunhofer-Instituts für Lasertechnik ILT. Das Leistungsspektrum des Unternehmens umfasst die Entwicklung, die Produktion und den Vertrieb integrierter Werkzeug- und Messsysteme für die Materialbearbeitung mit Kurz- und Ultrakurzpulslasern.
Modulare Systeme zur Strahlformung, -teilung und –ablenkung werden gezielt mit Sensorik verstärkt, um die Bedienbarkeit von UKP-Lasersystemen zu vereinfachen und die Produktivität signifikant zu steigern. Durch die Integration von Sensormodulen können Prozesse überwacht sowie Werkstücke und Bearbeitungsergebnisse direkt in der Maschine qualifiziert werden. Die Schnittstelle zum Benutzer sowie die Ansteuerung der Modulkette erfolgt über eine intuitiv bedienbare Software, die auf die Ansteuerung peripherer Komponenten und eine weitestgehend automatisierte Konfiguration der Module abgestimmt ist.
Neben der Systementwicklung ist Pulsar Photonics kompetenter Partner für die Einzelteil- und Serienfertigung mit (Ultra-)kurzpulslasern. Kernprozesse sind das Strukturieren, Bohren und Präzisionsschneiden.
Das Pulsar Photonics Team besteht aus Experten mit langjähriger Projekterfahrung in den Bereichen der Laserprozess- und Systementwicklung. Als international ausgerichtetes Unternehmen ist Pulsar Photonics eingebunden in ein leistungsfähiges Netzwerk aus Laser-, Komponenten- und Maschinenherstellern sowie Laseranwendern aus den verschiedensten Bereichen.
