The Bareiss Prüfgerätebau GmbH characterises the development of hardness tests on elastomers and other soft elastic materials by innovation and progress, since its foundation by Heinrich Bareiss in 1954. Nowadays Bareiss and its 42 qualified colleagues develop, manufacture and distribute top-quality testing devices for rubber, plastics and soft elastic materials in pharmacy and food industry, as they did in the past.
In order to be able to guarantee top-quality of its products durably, Bareiss has established a management system acc. to ISO 9001. Thereby, all processes and activities, which are decisive for quality and safety, are planned, controlled and surveyed permanently. As accredited testing laboratory of the German Calibration Services DKD for the measurement category of hardness, Bareiss is making calibrations on Shore and IRHD testing devices permanently, in the company's laboratory and outdoors and provides official calibration certificates for this purpose , since 1996, in context of the control of testing devices.

The measuring and testing technology specialist based in Nossen near Dresden has been developing, producing and selling high-quality machines, components and software solutions for material, component and component testing since 1990. These include universal testing machines, hardness testers, component and furniture test benches as well as various length measuring devices for industry and research. The company's 70 employees with sales offices throughout Germany also offer various services in the field of testing and measuring as well as the retrofitting of universal testing machines. In the fields of design and software development, Hegewald & Peschke maintains close cooperation with universities and Fraunhofer institutes, thus ensuring the high quality of its products and their technical topicality. Hegewald & Peschke was certified according to ISO 9001 and offers calibrations with DAkkS accreditation.
