내용보기 The Smart, LLC is a major producer of high-quality wood products located in Moscow. Its production is located in Gremyachinsk, Perm Krai. The enterprise specializes in the production of birch plywood of various grades, including laminated products, as well as manufacturing Latoflexes, sawn timber, and fuel briquettes according to the RUF standard.
The history of establishing the plant began in November 2007 with the start of construction on the site of an old mechanical factory. By December 2008, the enterprise was already operational. Modern equipment from different countries such as Japan, Sweden, Italy, Slovenia, Brazil, and Russia were installed at the facility. The total area occupied by the enterprise is 17 hectares, while the main workshop covers about 20 thousand square meters.
The project's planned capacity demonstrates impressive scale:
Large-format plywood: 60 thousand cubic meters per year,
Bent glued items: 18 thousand cubic meters per year,
Sawmilling materials: 24 thousand cubic meters per year.
To ensure stable operation, the enterprise uses its own logging base that provides approximately half of the raw material needed for production. The remaining volumes are purchased from third-party suppliers. Total calculated forest reserves amount to 320 thousand cubic meters annually, covering nearly 306 thousand hectares of leased forest areas. Logging work is carried out using Komatsu complexes.
As part of modernization efforts, the company received support from the Industry Development Fund, receiving approval for a loan aimed at expanding product range and increasing capacities. One key direction involves launching a new workshop for producing particleboard (DSP), expanding output of high-quality sanded plywood, and increasing lamella (Latoflex) production up to 3-5 thousand cubic meters per year. These measures will increase overall efficiency and significantly boost sales volume.
In addition to industrial activities, the enterprise actively participates in social initiatives. For example, in July 2024, within the territory of Gremachinsky DOK, a unique platform was opened intended for correctional center purposes, facilitating labor adaptation for prisoners. This initiative represents the first experience of this kind in the region and one of few examples nationwide.
According to official reports, in 2024 revenue increased by 6.95% reaching 808.9 million rubles. However, net profit decreased substantially by minus 418%. Despite financial challenges, the enterprise continues to demonstrate stability and dynamic development, attracting investments and modernizing production facilities.
Thus, Gremachinsky Woodworking Plant confidently ranks among leading industry enterprises, ensuring high quality of its products and maintaining a strong position in the Russian forestry market.
