Allego was founded in 2013 in the Netherlands as part of grid operator Alliander. We have been independent in advice, service, and operation of charging solutions ever since. In 2018 we became part of Meridiam and rapidly expanded our European network. In March 2022, we became a publicly listed company on the New York Stock Exchange.
We offer smart charging solutions for electric cars, motorcycles, buses, and trucks for consumers, businesses, and cities. Our end-to-end charging solutions make it easier for businesses and cities to deliver the infrastructure EV drivers need, while the scalability of our products makes us the partner of the future.

Some may say Miami Beach-thousands of miles from Silicon Valley– is the wrong location for the headquarters of a technology company dedicated to the adoption of electric vehicles and clean energy, but we couldn’t disagree more. We started char.gy in June 2016 with the goal of solving residential electric vehicle charging for people without off-street parking, such as driveways or garages. Our first charge points available to the general public were installed in Marlow in May 2018. Today we have installed more than 2950 across the country.

Knowledge and innovation center ElaadNL researches and tests smart and sustainable charging of electric vehicles. ElaadNL is an initiative of the joint Dutch Grid Operators. Due to their mutual involvement in ElaadNL, the network operators are preparing for a future with electric driving and sustainable charging.
Together with manufacturers from all over the world, we test the latest techniques for charging electric cars, trucks and buses in our Test Lab in Arnhem.
We are investigating the expected growth of various forms of electric transport, the associated charging infrastructure and how to integrate this smartly into the power grid.
