The company expanded its activities in Lemgo and added thermometers of all kinds to its product range:
monitoring thermometers, laboratory thermometers, manometers, aerometers, battery syringes, and antifreeze testers. A plant extension allowed the company to produce enclosures and mechanical thermometers including:
bimetal dial thermometers, dial indicator thermometers, and remote thermometers.
Based on the requests of its customers and its own experiences, the company added the following groups of components to its product line-up:
multi-range manometers, diagonal-tube pressure gauges, U-tube manometers, and swimming pool thermometers.
The product range was later completed by digital handheld measuring instruments, built-in devices with digital displays, resistance thermometers and a wide range of custom models.
While the company focuses its activities on Europe, it also has excellent contacts to customers all over the world.

스포어사는 1884년에 크리스티안 스포어에 의해 설립되었다. 그 회사는 처음부터 전기 수위 표시기 제조에 종사했다. 또한 전화와 전보 시스템, 시계 시스템(탑시계)도 만들어졌다. 1905년까지 크리스티안 스포르는 프랑크푸르트 시의 시계 장인이었다.
1901년, 그 회사의 직원 중 한 명이 "음파 신호가 있는 구멍의 호루라기"라는 아이디어를 냈다. 이 "원시 분수 휘파람"은 1902년에 실용신안으로 등록되었다.
칼 스포르(1877-1957)는 1908년부터 회사를 경영했다. 그 회사는 주로 복잡한 전자 시계 시스템의 제조와 조립, 그리고 개폐 설비의 보수에 종사하고 있으며, 수위 측정 기술을 지속적으로 개발하고 있다.
하인츠 스포어(1912-2002)는 1931년에 그 회사에 입사했고, 1939년에는 파트너가 되었다. 그는 특히 수위 측정 기술에 집중하여 1933년에 '리히틀롯'(DRGM1279419 '광신호 다이빙 스틱')을 발명하였고, 1950년대에는 '카벨리히틀롯'으로 발전시켰다. 빛의 강하와 분수의 휘파람 소리는 뮌헨의 도이체 박물관에 전시되어 있다. 이외에도 다양한 용도로 쓰일 수 있는 부자 쓰기 게이지 모델도 개발되었다.
1979년에 사업은 새로 설립된 SPOHR-Messtechnik GmbH로 이관되었고, 그 관리는 1949년생인 Peter Spohr가 맡게 되었다. 기존의 제품군은 더욱 발전되었고, 특히 해외 사업이 강화되었다.
1996년에 그 회사는 DIN ISO9001 인증을 받았다. 2002년에 새로운 표준인 DIN EN ISO9001:2008 인증을 무사히 통과했다.
2014년 5월부터 SPOHR Messtechnik GmbH의 새로운 소유주가 생겼다. 새로운 경영진이 스폴의 전통적 가치에 대한 가족 기업의 의미를 이어갔다.
2016년, 스포르는 15년 이상의 성공을 인정받아 수상의 영예를 안았다.
