배연 시스템의 두드러진 장점 중 하나는 오래된 건물의 경우 건물 구조에 약간의 개입만 필요하다는 것이다. 개조할 수 없는 재산은 거의 없다. Failsafe는 팬 장치 비상 전원 공급 장치(옵션)를 통해 이루어진다. 과다한 압력과 유닛에서 나오는 풍량은 설사 그것과 탈출 통로 사이의 문이 열려 있더라도 연기가 화재 현장에 남아 있게 하기에 충분하다. 어떤 이유에서든 연기가 여전히 계단에 스며들면 영구적인 기류에 의해 즉각적으로 희석되어 하강 기류를 통해 빠져나올 것이다.
