Het bedrijf ECONOX werd opgericht in 1984. Het is gevestigd in de Zwitserse Jura, op slechts 10 kilometer van de Franse grens. Aanvankelijk ontwikkelde en produceerde ECONOX apparaten voor het meten en controleren van atmosferen voor warmtebehandeling. Het avontuur begon pas in 1986 met het aanvragen van een patent voor de eerste zuurstofsensor. Sindsdien is deze oplossing, die de meest betrouwbare en robuuste is gebleken, voortdurend verder ontwikkeld.

Vanaf 2001 werden er talloze verbeteringen doorgevoerd om te voldoen aan de groeiende en steeds hogere eisen. Voor zuurstofmeettechnologie werd de CarboProbe zuurstofsonde-serie gecreëerd om te voldoen aan de hoge eisen van de keramische industrie, onderzoekslaboratoria, pottenbakkers en universiteiten. ECONOX is de partner bij uitstek voor elk zuurstofmeetsysteem (of %C) en levert keramische componenten voor universiteiten en laboratoria, evenals een compleet assortiment thermokoppels (K, S, N) in verschillende lengtes.
