Handgrepen, scharnieren, handwielen, klemgrepen, knoppen of klemmen - het zijn allemaal onderdelen die vrijwel overal nodig zijn, zowel in de machinebouw als in laboratoria, in de fabrieksapparatuur en in de transportsector. Onderdelen, waarvan vele uit het Zwarte Woud, direct uit de hoogbouw van de marktleider: Otto Ganter GmbH & Co. KG.
Opgericht in 1894 in Furtwangen als kleine mechanische werkplaats, kwam de oprichter van het bedrijf, Otto Ganter, in 1912 op het idee om de bedieningselementen te standaardiseren - jaren voor het ontstaan van de Duitse industriestandaard (DIN). Een idee dat bloeit en uitgroeit tot een duurzaam succesmodel: vandaag de dag is het familiebedrijf in de vierde generatie wereldwijd aanwezig en blijft het groeien. Meer dan 400 mensen in de hoofdzetel van het bedrijf in het Zwarte Woud ontwikkelen permanent nieuwe elementen, produceren met uiterste precisie en kwaliteit en zorgen voor de snelst mogelijke verzending. 85 procent van alle bestellingen verlaat onze fabriek binnen 24 uur - een snelheid die de norm bepaalt. En met meer dan 60.000 beschikbare varianten biedt Ganter een ongeëvenaard assortiment en een variëteit aan standaardonderdelen.
Wat na de lancering 100 jaar geleden bekend werd als de Ganter Standard, is uiteindelijk uitgegroeid tot een onmisbaar element in veel ingenieurs- en bouwbureaus - en daarmee de Ganter-catalogus, die op ongeveer 1.900 pagina's in de meest recente 17e editie het hele assortiment met al hun kenmerken laat zien. De Ganter-catalogus is al lange tijd een veelgevraagde handleiding die generaties van ontwerpers en ontwikkelaars met succes heeft geholpen en begeleid. En - dit is het digitale tijdperk - alle gegevens zijn ook online beschikbaar en kunnen in alle gangbare CAD-programma's worden geladen.
Als er toevallig een standaardonderdeel is dat je nodig hebt en niet kunt vinden in het uitgebreide assortiment, gaan de mensen van Ganter aan de slag om het gat te dichten en een oplossing op maat te ontwikkelen. Dit is ook een onderdeel van het verhaal dat Ganter heeft gemaakt tot wat het nu is: een succesvolle speler op het internationale toneel.
