Sinds de oprichting van de onderneming door Julius Pintsch meer dan 175 jaar geleden, heeft onze onderneming herhaaldelijk belangrijke innovaties tot stand gebracht om de veiligheid en de beschikbaarheid in het internationale spoorwegverkeer te verhogen en op lange termijn veilig te stellen. Zo kwam rond 1900 in Duitsland de eerste spoorwegovergang die geen machinist meer nodig had, maar gecontroleerd werd door de naderende trein. Een technologie die destijds met grote scepsis werd ontvangen, maar nu onmisbaar is en - integendeel - sindsdien steeds verder is ontwikkeld.

70 years of experience in cable production and temperature measurement as well as control technique have made a one man business a company with nearly 500 staff members.
Our strength is not only the production of standard products but also the development and manufacturing of special products acc. to customers’ specifications. HEW-KABEL is a medium-sized company in Wipperfürth, 50 km east of Cologne. We employ more than 450 people in research and development, and production and sales. Their qualifications are always kept up to date through continuous training. Our internal processes are subject to the strictest quality management system and are optimally coordinated with one another. From technical design to production to sales, we offer everything from one source.
Using its many years of know-how and experience, HEW-KABEL designs, develops and manufactures customer-specific cable solutions for various industrial market segments, where miniaturization, flexibility or special durability are required. Fields of application include the automotive industry, the aerospace industry, medical equipment, robotics, instrumentation and control technology, sensor technology, traffic technology, high frequency technology as well as mechanical engineering.
In addition, the group's product portfolio also includes silicone compounds (offered by SiC Compound). As an independent, owner-operated company, HEW-KABEL has the following core competencies:
