The successful company history began in 1963.
The then American Louver Continental GmbH was founded as a subsidiary of an American company and was thus one of the first companies in the field of light and ceiling louvers.
From 1983 it operated under the name ALC-Louver GmbH with headquarters in Aschaffenburg / Bavaria. The initially pure import business was gradually added other own products to the portfolio. Innovations, best technical know-how and production flexibility have made ALC-Louver GmbH one of the leading companies in the field of light and ceiling louvres in the last 55 years.
With the relocation of the headquarters to Bitterfeld-Wolfen (Saxony-Anhalt) on 01.01.2018, another chapter in the company's history began. At the new location, production continues with the know-how from Aschaffenburg, so that the relocation went almost unnoticed.
The application possibilities of ALC light ceiling louvers are quite diverse. Whether they are light strips, complete luminous ceilings or covers for recessed and surface-mounted luminaires, light and ceiling louvers open up numerous possibilities for designing rooms in a functional yet highly decorative way.
The louvre panels can be suspended from the bare ceiling in a track, cassette or seamless system, and their glare angle effectively conceals wiring systems mounted on the bare ceiling.

vergrip was formed in 2001 as a manufacturing company and is based in Selby, North Yorkshire.

As part of ongoing product development, in 2003 Evergrip brought its manufacturing skills and knowledge to a design requirement for a new railway platform decking system, again made from composite materials. Working closely with Network Rail, this exciting design is now tested, approved and in service and is set to bring about a revolution in platform surfacing solutions. Our newest development, now in progress, is the remodelling of the existing wooden trestle platform substructure in GRP.
Evergrip is now firmly established within the UK and Europe as a leading supplier to many better known distribution and inventory management organisations, selling the success of our high quality products into many varied market sectors; from manufacturing & industrial plants, to local government and infrastructure projects. We have enjoyed a consistent growth in sales since the company’s formation and as a result have been able to sustain and grow our dedicated team of staff here in Selby.
