لقد تم تأسيس شركة صناعة الكابلات العمانية (ش.م .ع.ع) عام 1984 بجهود رئيس مجلس الإدارة الأستاذ/ مصطفى بن مختار بن علي اللواتي و الفاضل / حسين بن سلمان بن غلام اللواتي نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة والرئيس التنفيذي . ويقع مقر الشركة في منطقة الرسيل الصناعية بالعاصمة مسقط وهي المنطقة الصناعية الرئيسة في سلطنة عمان .
بدأت هذه الشركة الفتية بداية متواضعة لم يتجاوز عدد العاملين فيها عن عشرة اشخاص ولم تتجاوز المبيعات في اول سنة تشغيلية عن 1,820,000 (مليون وثمانمئة وعشرين الف دولاراً امريكياً) .
إلا ان الطموح والثبات من المؤسسين والقائمين على الشركة مكنتها من تفادي المصاعب وقد أستمرت سياسة الشركة من الوهلة الأولى بمبداء تنمية عائدتها حتى أصبحت واحدة من أكبر عشر شركات في السلطنة ، وقد تجاوزت مبيعاتها السنوية خلال عام 2004م ستة وثلاثين مليون ريالاً عمانياً أي ما يعادل 93.6 (ثلاثة وتسعين مليوناً وستمئة الف دولار أمريكياً) . وبلغ عدد العاملين بالشركة أكثر من 300 شخصاً.
إن خلق بيئة تتمتع بتعاطي منتجات وخدمات الشركة لمختلف القطاعات هي من الأمور الأساسية والأولويات التي تؤمن بها إدارة الشركة بدأ من العاملين ومروراً بالمتعاملين فيها من الزبائن والموردين وغيرهم ممن يقدمون خدمات مختلفة . إن أداءها الفريد وصناعة منتجاتها بالأتقان والجودة العالية مع الخدمة المميزة لمختلف طبقات المجتمع قد أهل الشركة بأن تتقدم على غيرها وتنمو بسرعة قياسية لذا فكانت شركتنا سباقة ورائدة في تطبيق النظم العالمية الحديثة مثل نظام ISO 9000 فكانت أول شركة عمانية على مستوى سلطنة عمان تتصدر بالحصول على هذه الشهادة وخلال فترة وجيزة لم تتجاوز ستة أشهر .
