Since it was founded in 2005 - as a German sister company of the Dutch Horrichs Apparatenbouw BV and Holland Filter BV - UrMaTi Apparatebau GmbH has combined the knowledge and experience of these two traditional companies.

The products were originally used for process and waste water treatment, with extensive experience being gained particularly in the food industry.

Especially in this area, it is of great importance that the equipment is made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant materials. The decision to exclusively use stainless steel and other high-quality materials was then quickly made. Within the food industry, UrMaTi Apparatebau GmbH has acquired knowledge in the field of production of various apparatuses and internal transport systems.

Of course, these devices are also made of stainless steel. From the food industry we have been able to gain experience in the field of stainless steel industry as well as in other branches of industry.

Filter screens and weaving reeds from Baden-Württemberg The company was founded in 1951 by Karl Küfner. Right from the very beginning, the firm manufactured weaving reeds, the production of filter screens starting up two years later. Today, Karl Küfner KG is an owner-managed family company with over 300 employees at two sites. In Germany's southwestern state of Baden-Württemberg─the heartland of Germany's SME mechanical engineering and toolmaking industries─we research, develop and manufacture for some 500 customers worldwide.
