An Overview of Our Business Units
The BÜFA Group is an independent, medium-sized company in the chemical industry. BÜFA, which was founded in Oldenburg in 1883, is active today internationally in the business areas of chemicals, cleaning and composites. We owe our success to innovative, environmentally appropriate products and systems for targeted use that meet the highest requirements and are used in many industries such as railroad, wind energy, food and cleaning. All of our endeavours are strictly oriented to the principle of sustainability. We focus on New Chemistry and combine economic efficiency with social responsibility.
Chemicals
In the chemicals business area, we supply our customers with more than 1,000 different chemical products. Not only is the enormous selection of products impressive but so is our perfect service when it comes to warehousing, packaging and distribution.

ZOUTMAN INDUSTRIES, located in Roeselare (B) and the port of Ghent (B), is an independent salt producer. ZOUTMAN is specialized in the refining of salt for different applications:
food salt • de-icing salt • salt for water softening • dishwasher salt • dishwasher salt • salt for agriculture • salt for animal feed • salt for technical applications • bath salt • scrub salt • brine • ...
The modern and well equipped production unit processes sea salt (washing, centrifying, drying, grinding, screening and packing) into finished products. ZOUTMAN produces tailor made in order to meet the customers’ needs in grain size, humidity and packaging.
An internal and external laboratory guarantee the constant quality of the products. The logistics department provides fast and punctual deliveries worldwide.
ZOUTMAN is BRC - IFS - GMP - KOSHER certified.
