Viega offers backwater valves as individual and collective backwater protection for use in moisture-laden environments - also with electronic monitoring. The backwater valves are made of high-quality, resistant plastics. They are impact resistant and temperature resistant up to 95 °C. Maintenance and cleaning can be carried out easily and largely without tools. The differentiation between faeces, sewage, waste water, and sewage, is of great importance for the product selection.

Grundfix Plus is a collective fuse and corresponds to type 3 in accordance with DIN EN 13 564. Backwater valves of this design have an automatic, motor-operated operating lock and manual operation. In the event of backwater, the motor-operated operating lock closes automatically by means of a backwater sensor. After the backwater is cleared, it is opened again. The current status is optically recognizable, the closing of the service lock is additionally signaled acoustically. The backwater protection is flood-proof and can therefore also be used outdoors.
Grundfix Plus Control offers an additional plus in safety and comfort, as the backwater protection automatically checks itself daily with the help of an electronic control unit itself. In the event of a power failure, the system switches to battery operation. A monitoring and control unit with 3-button operation, LC display and plain text display offers all important information at a glance.
