Düker supplies a comprehensive range of socketless SML pipes and fittings in the nominal diameter range from DN 50 to DN 300, partly up to DN 400. In addition to simple fittings such as bends, branches and reducers, special fittings for the connection of toilets and washbasins, siphons, cleaning pipes, downpipe supports and fittings for other pipe materials are also available from Düker, normally from stock.
SML is suitable for installation in buildings. SML pipes and fittings can also be set in concrete without any problems, as the coefficient of expansion of cast iron and concrete is very similar, and as concrete passivates cast iron, i.e. protects it from corrosion. SML pipes can also be installed outside the building (as rainwater standpipe) or e.g. in underground car parks. However, in the case of such visible, corrosion-endangered installation, additional rust protection by means of a coating system commonly used in steel construction is recommended for visual reasons.
