The definitions vary between the overall structure of a vehicle, i.e. everything that sits on the chassis of a car (including the car interior and engine), and the pure trim of the vehicle. In the second definition, the interior is not included in the bodywork. It is no coincidence that there are car body manufacturers in the automotive world. As everyone knows, these do not have much to do with the interior of an engine, body builders have a lot to do with the interior of a vehicle rather than having to adapt the body to the shape and dimensions of the interior. This also applies to the chassis. Therefore, the body can already be defined as the pure exterior panelling with its extras and the layers between panelling and interior. In our modern life, however, car bodies are only conditionally designed by body builders. This profession only comes to bear with custom-made products. All other car bodies are machine-made in vehicle construction and designed by engineers from the major car companies. Once produced and cast, these are then joined together on a conveyor belt by means of a motor vehicle mechanism. Within a few hours, this assembly line work creates an almost new car. However, the process of body casting and producing varies from car manufacturer to car manufacturer.
