Elementary safety components of a vehicle are the vehicle seats, an indispensable object of any vehicle, in order to be able to guarantee a certain safety standard to the passengers concerned. In general, a distinction is made between passenger car front seats or passenger seats, driver seats of trucks, buses and work vehicles as well as passenger seats on buses or minibuses. Depending on the desired equipment, the former can vary as required in terms of adjustability, comfort features or the corresponding safety standards. The possible adjustability or adaptability of a vehicle seat always depends on the actual equipment of the same, whereby a model with extremely high adaptability should be chosen for people with acute back problems. In addition to the 4-way seat adjustment available as standard, there is also a 6-way seat adjustment, depending on the model, which also permits adjustment options upwards and downwards. The comfort features already available are primarily seat heating that can be integrated and separate ventilation, whereby high-class automobiles can install screens in the back or other technical refinements, depending on the customer's wishes. The health aspect in particular has been increasingly taken into account in recent years, with the result that the seats available on the market have become increasingly ergonomic and thus adapt optimally to the body of the respective driver or passenger. By integrating additional airbags in the actual seats, the already high safety character was further increased. The special feature of passenger seats in the rear of a car is that less attention has been paid to the ergonomically perfect seat shape, as the number of passengers can vary. The vehicle seats on buses or trucks differ mainly in the number of seats, whereby trucks usually have a pair of individual seats and a bus usually only one driver's seat. Passenger seats in minibuses or buses in general, on the other hand, are usually designed as double or triple seats and cannot be adjusted in any way, as they are mounted on a common frame. The only exceptions here are the seating options in modern passenger trains, such as the ICE, which boast backrest and seat adjustment options.
