Our success story is full of versatility. CG Chemikalien was founded in Laatzen near Hanover, Germany in 1962. Since then, the company-owned family business has continuously evolved and established itself in many markets. Roughly 30,000 business partners from the sectors pharmacy, automotive industry, chemistry, electronics, synthetics and foods have been able to rely on us for more than five decades.
We operate world-wide, expand continuously and, as an independent merchant wholesaler, are proud to excel with a high degree of flexibility. HEYL Chemisch-pharmazeutische Fabrik GmbH & Co. KG is an independent, entrepreneurial family business that has its headquarters in probably the liveliest German metropolis, Berlin, since its establishment in 1926. In cooperation with our international subsidiaries, the main focuses of our work are the Regulatory Affairs and marketing of medicines as well as the sale of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API's) and special chemicals.
We concentrate our strengths on special areas and niches. A number of antidotes were developed in cooperation with national and international research institutes and universities. These are highly effective drugs which are used against poisonings by thallium, arsenic, heavy metals (mercury, lead) or by radioactive isotopes like radiocesium or plutonium. Demands from all continents of the world show the uniqueness and medical significance of these drugs.
The active pharmaceutical ingredients (API's) of the antidotes are produced predominantly by Laborchemie Apolda GmbH, our subsidiary firm in Thuringia, according to current quality rules. We are represented in important foreign markets like USA and Japan by our subsidiaries (Heyltex Corporation in Houston, Texas and Heyl Japan & Co. Ltd. in Tokyo). In Berlin, the German and international headquarters join long-standing marketing competence together with medical scientific know-how in five main strategic business fields: antidotes, anti-rheumatics, antibiotics, cod-liver oil preparation and vitamins.
