1. High-purity nitrous oxide gas (≥5N) is mainly used in semiconductor, LCD, OLED manufacturing process. High purity nitrous oxide is an important raw material for PECVD process accumulation of SiO2 film, device anti-reverse penetration film, passivation membrane.
2. Nitrous oxide is commonly used as a general anaesthetic in both medical and dental surgeries. To be effective as an anaesthetic, nitrous oxide must be inhaled in relatively high concentrations mixed with air or oxygen.
3. Nitrous oxide serves in industry as a leak detector for vacuum and pressurized enclosures, buried piping, etc.
4. Nitrous oxide is used as an oxygen source in the chemical vapour deposition of silicon oxynitride layers.
