In the production of concrete elements we have consistently improved, optimized and standardized a lot over the years. Recipes, constructions as well as shapes, surfaces, colours, structures, connection systems, equipment and production processes are subject to our high goals to manufacture high quality products as well as service, because our products are branded goods. The product range is from angle brackets in different sizes, shapes and designs, to steps and special components whose areas of application are surprisingly versatile. Gladly, we stand at our partner's side, as well as when it comes to technical planning and statics. A service that our customers know how to appreciate.
When Wilhelm Westerwelle founded the company in 1955 together with his wife Hilde, the foundation had been set with products such as curbs, panels and pavings. By taking over the company in 1985, Manfred and Cornelia Westerwelle set new standards in the field of quality, marketing and sales. In 2005 Westerwelle opened a sales office for East-European customers in the Polish city of Wroclaw, and when the demand for Westerwelle concrete elements greatly increased, in summer 2008 the decision was made to open another production site in Beeskow in Brandenburg.
Since 2010 the management of this traditional company rests in the hands of Kai-Uwe Westerwelle. The focus for the future isn't only on the European-wide expansion of the partner network and the constant further development of our product range, but also on the consistent quality control.

Show more The roots of our company are in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. This is where the businessman Karl Klein, father of two sons, ran the company Ludwigshafener Isolierfabrik K.G. in Ludwigshafen-Mundenheim.
1932 His son, Willi Klein, took over management of the lime works August Kaege in Harxheim/Zellertal.
1959 He founded the Willi Klein insulation materials as a vermiculite expansion operation. This was simultaneously the foundation for the company as it is today.
1961 The lime works, August Kaege Nachf., were taken out of operation.
1975 Willi Klein died and the company has been run by his son, Friedhelm Klein, ever since.
1979 Production was expanded by the setup of a perlite expansion system. Dämmstoff-Fabrik Klein GmbH was founded in the same year.
1985 The moulded parts production "Kawalite" goes into operation.
1996 The new developments in the field of preventative fire protection ("Hapuflam fire protection systems") then followed. Another company was founded on this basis: HaPu Brandschutz Systeme GmbH.
2010 Product and production expansion with takeover of the cable fire stop system "Staudt".

At the moment ASTRA - Technologia Betonu focuses mainly on supplying customers with materials for industrial flooring, including but not limited to high quality dispersed reinforcement, construction chemicals, foamed glass granulate and other materials related to manufacturing and finishing our self-designed surfaces. ASTRA - Technologia Betonu closely cooperates with producers of materials offerred by us. What is more, ASTRA - Technologia Betonu deals with manufacturing foundation slabs in accordance with the in-home designed CemokrzemPor® technology.
On 8 June 2009 ASTRA - Technologia Betonu was honoured by the Research and Quality Monitoring Centre with the certificate of the Highest Quality in Construction. The certificate was awarded for the higest quality of produced construction chemicals, comprehensive customer service based on reliable market knowledge and master company management system.
