Carpet is generally understood as a textile surface made of wool, sisal, coconut, silk or synthetic fibre yarns. If the carpet is knotted from natural fibre yarns by hand, it is considered unique, has its price and is a valuable living accessory on parquet or as a wall hanging. Woven carpets are mainly made of high-quality polyamide yarns. In a complicated technical process, two surfaces are created separately, which are nevertheless firmly interwoven. The upper surface contains colors and patterns. In widths of up to two metres, both runner and metre goods are produced. Woven carpets are installed in luxury hotels or banks and institutions such as the Reichstag in Berlin. Due to the fact that the yarns are already dyed during spinning and due to its internal construction, it is highly wear-resistant and practically dirt-resistant.In the tufting process, mass products are produced which can also meet very high demands. Polypropylene and polyamide yarns are used to produce covering surfaces up to five metres wide, which are dyed in lengths of up to five hundred metres and, if necessary, printed. The surface receives its stability after bonding with a base layer. This product is mainly used in living areas. High-quality materials are used in offices, practice rooms and, for example, in the Dresden Congress Centre.
