Woods must have the appropriate degree of dryness before grouting. Skew winds and warped boards are therefore not suitable for gluing. In addition, you should only glue similar wood together, whereby the following applies: put core to core and sapwood to sapwood. This is to ensure that in the event of possible swelling and shrinkage the plate does not bulge, but that the deformations are compensated in the best case. The width should be set so that as little waste as possible is produced. The next step is to draw together for a better overview, i.e. one draws a large triangle over all boards on the resulting area, so that one always knows how the boards belong together. In the following work step, the butt edges of the boards are covered with wood glue and pressed together in the appropriate order and fixed with the clamps. When the glue is dry, you can loosen the clamps and the chocks and dress the wood.This is only one way of jointing. Of course you can also seal a joint in the shower or in the bathroom in general in this way or in the kitchen.
