Wooden houses are or become more and more popular. Of course the fire protection regulations have to be obeyed carefully. Special protection measures are required if a boiler or an oven has to be installed. In order to insert those wall bushings easily and safely Schräder has developed a new wall and ceiling bushing. This bushing is used where the waste gas pipe has to be mounted through inflammable materials. This bushing is equipped with a novel glass fibre insulant with a multiple better insulation than conventional material (mineral wool). The special composition allows the reduction of the distance ti inflammable parts to 80 mm compared to the standard 200 mm.
For installation a hole has to be cut into the wooden wall. Then the wall bushing will be inserted and fixed. The bushing will be covered by a front panel made of Vermiculit which serves as heat protection and radiation blind. A stainless steel blind which covers the waste gas pipe totally completes the wall bushing.
The wall bushing made by Schräder is available for nominal chimney diameters from 130 to 200 mm and for wall thicknesses 0f 12, 24 and 36 cm. It is certifies by the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik in Berlin (certificate number Z-7.3-3408) and offers therefore proofed safety.
