Adhesives are used to bond two or more parts. Adhesives are made of different substances, which of course also have different adhesive properties. Adhesives are processed either in cold or hot condition, or, as e.g. powder for handicraft glue is mixed with liquid according to the instructions before use.Simple handicraft adhesives are usually only suitable for gluing paper, cardboard and cardboard. Hot glue guns are very popular for handicrafts. Hotmelt guns are connected to the socket. The gun itself is filled with an adhesive stick which coagulates when heated. Hotmelt guns enable precise dosing and have variable melting capacities to choose from, depending on the device. However, special care must be taken when using hot-melt glue guns, as there is a risk of burns.Universal adhesives for wood, glass, rubber, plastic, etc. for household use are the so-called "super adhesives" from various manufacturers. Superglues also carry a certain risk of injury and do not belong in the hands of children.Naturally there are then still further developments for the industry. Industrial adhesives have much more extensive adhesive properties and are used to bond all kinds of materials, with different industrial adhesives to suit the type of use. Industrial adhesives are preferably processed in hot condition. For this purpose, there are special adhesive guns or larger machines that apply the adhesive to the material.
