Riveting is the term used to describe a lack of mistakes, and crossword puzzles are often asked about it, or several people who are very clumsy in their working lives. This building was built over the Elbe between 1891 and 1893 and has a total length of 230 metres. This bridge is exposed to extreme loads every day, considering that horse-drawn carriages rolled over the Blue Wonder at that time. Today about 30 000 cars per day drive over this Elbe crossing. About 324000 rivets were used in this large building. No one knows the exact number, but estimates are in this range. At that time, the large metal parts were joined to the rivets under heavy physical work. The quality of the work was so good that the more than 110 old bridge is still in service today.Only the tram has not been allowed to cross the Blue Wonder for several years. The vibrations of the trams were too great and the historic building should last as long as possible.
