However, the focus is clearly on developing solutions for customers, which are usually different from our own and from other manufacturers' standard solutions.
Safety Locks similar to Safety Catchers and Safety Brakes are used against failure of lifting members. But in contrast to those they are not suitable to decelerate masses or to dissipate kinetic energy. On the other hand, the rod displacement to build up the holding force is very small, so that this units can be used for a approximitive positioning tasks as well. Furthermore this design principle allows compact solutions even for small rod sizes (smaller than for Safety Catchers). In the field of pneumatic clamping devices the Safety Locks are providing the absolutely highest holding forces in relation to housing dimensions.

Air Brakes (ATEX)
The pneumatic brakes from our range have a compact design and are very robust. Our brakes are spring-assisted and are disconnected with air, so if there is no air, it is always braked, this way our brakes are "extra" safe.
The pneumatic brakes are mounted directly on the motor and are equipped with a cast iron or steel housing. The brake has a safety factor of 1.5 to 2 times.
Large stock = delivered quickly
Our pneumatic brakes can be combined with all our air motors. The combination of motor with brake is widely used for winches, cranes and positioning devices.
They are available with IEC or NEMA flange mounting. And that is why our brakes are easy to install on our air motors and gearboxes. If you have special requirements, we are happy to advise you on compound combinations. Get in contact with one of our specialists.
