Since the 1950s, for simplicity's sake, the machine and control cabinet have increasingly been connected by so-called heavy-duty connectors. But the increasing cost pressure did not stop at this interface either. Both the risk of incorrect wiring on the connector or the bulkhead-mounted housing itself and the relatively high costs of the connectors had to be minimised. For this reason, icotek developed from 1995 onwards separable cable entry systems which are adapted to the standardized heavy-duty connectors in the drill pattern and cut-out size of the switch cabinet or switch box.This made it possible to go from the machine into the switch cabinet throughout with pre-assembled cables (with plugs). The possible source of error on the control cabinet wall was eliminated and costs minimized by eliminating heavy connectors.A consistently divisible cable entry strip was developed, which made it possible to insert a high number of cables, to seal according to the standard of the control cabinets (IP54) and at the same time to relieve tension. The KEL cable entry system was born. In 2013 another generation was developed with which the protection class IP65 can be achieved - the KEL-ER series. The KEL and KEL-ER cable entry systems from icotek make it possible to insert and seal up to 40 or 10 pre-assembled cables through the cut-out (e.g. of a 24-pin industrial connector). With various extensions to the KEL strip, even up to 120 pre-assembled cables with one strip are possible. An extremely high packing density! The number of heavy connectors used up to now can be significantly reduced.The annoying and faulty desoldering and re-soldering of the connectors is completely eliminated. Thus also possible sources of error on the prefabricated cable harnesses themselves. Another advantage is that the guarantee for the assembled cables is maintained.The cable entry itself can be snapped onto the control cabinet wall on request. This eliminates the annoying unscrewing and screwing back on during maintenance work, for example. The KEL and KEL-ER cable entry systems are highly flexible for your application. No matter whether the cut-out is on the control cabinet wall or in the floor, directly in a machine wall or, for example, in the floor of a construction vehicle, icotek has developed the cable entry plates of the KEL-DPZ and KEL-DP series with appropriate accessories such as special floor plates or flange plates.For the introduction or feed-through of non-assembled standard cables.
