Isolating Amplifiers - Manufacturers, Traders & Suppliers

Isolating Amplifiers
Isolation amplifiers are also known as isolation amplifiers. These are used, among other things, for smaller voltage and current fluctuations. For this purpose, they are modulated onto a circuit with applied voltage. Prior to this, however, the prestressed cable circuits must be electrically isolated. This type of separation is usually performed via a double coil. This is also referred to as a transformer coupling. Separation via a capacitor is also possible. In this case we speak of a capacitive coupling. These have the advantage that they only transmit the voltage or current fluctuation. This can be explained by the inertia of the coil or capacitor. Therefore, the number of turns of the coil for a capacitor coupling must be matched to the frequency of the signal to be amplified. It is the property of a coupling element not to let any other frequencies pass. This is also the basic prerequisite for a second effect of the isolation amplifier. Thus short voltage increases can be transmitted attenuated by an inductive coupling. This puts less strain on the sensitive amplifier elements. Disadvantages are the use of too high frequency filter properties. These have a high bandwidth of signals to be amplified. The need for such systems exists especially in audio electronics. Due to the very large bandwidth, a galvanic isolation with a low frequency electricity is necessary. This can be done in conjunction with light emitting diodes and photocells. A change in the voltage in this range generates a change in brightness proportional to the magnitude of the change in voltage via the LED. This change is absorbed by the photoelement and the resulting photocurrent is amplified. This principle is also understood as optoelectronic coupling.
