BTB stands for the cogeneration of heat and power: Energy – intelligent and local. The cogeneration of heat and power is the right answer, both environmentally and economically, to increasing energy prices and the climate change. BTB operates cogenerating plants such as block heating stations and gas turbines at a performance rate from 5 kW to 11,000 kW. Altogether, we operate approximately 150 decentralised power plants and, as of 2005, wood pellet plants.
In the Berlin district “Treptow-Köpenick“ we operate several heat and power plants, which generate heat supplying our widespread district heating network.
BTB finances, builds and operates power supply facilities, district heating networks and decentralised single facilities and by doing so covers the complete range of services in regards to energy and power. Efficiency, reliability and ecological responsibility are important key concepts for the day-to-day work of the company’s employees. Solutions implemented by BTB meet our own personal standards of being comprehensive, innovative and economical. This is what we understand as “Energy – intelligent and local”.
