Line pressure reducers are installed in a pipeline system to compensate for different pressures on the inlet side and not to exceed a set pressure on the outlet side.
By using these pressure regulators you prevent a too high supply pressure in the pipeline system or in the plant. If the pressure reducing valve is to be used in sanitary facilities or building services, it must have DVGW approval. Pressure reducers are often protected on the outlet side with a safety valve.

We offer a variety of pressure reducing valves for all different kind of media, pressure ranges, flow rates and applications.
Our pressure reducing valves specifically developed for the use with drinking water (type designation with final digit “-6”) are designed for the sanitary area. The valve bodies of these types are made from a special red bronze alloy which is optimally suitable for drinking water; all plastic parts are in conformity with the KTW directives.
The industrial application range of pressure reducers and regulators is far more extensive and versatile than the commonly known applications in the water and compressed air supply. In the industrial area a high flexibility regarding regulating behaviour, flow rate, robustness, media and connection type is essential (our selection guide might be very helpful for you).

throttles & pressure reducer
With the correct selection of one of our noise-reduced multi-channel compressed air nozzles, an inlet pressure of 6 or 8 bar is rarely required for blowing air applications. Experience has shown that in most cases an inlet pressure between 3 and 4.5 bar is sufficient. Throttles and pressure reducers make it easy for you to limit the pressure for the user simply and safely. If the inlet pressure determined to be optimal is to be fixed, it is recommended to install a fixed throttle (1537-009/a/b/c), or even a lockable pressure reducer (2167 or 2167a).
