“Ochakovo” is a 100% Russian natural beverage company. Our products include: traditional kvass, beer made from our own malt according to a classic recipe, soft drinks, low-alcohol cocktails, juices, wines, lemonades, mineral water and hard liquor.
The first “Ochakovo” plant was opened in Moscow on December 18, 1978, to quench the thirst of guests and participants of the upcoming 1980 Olympics. The production was the most powerful in Europe and the Soviet Union: beer, kvass, mineral water and soft drinks were produced here. We were the ones who bottled the first batches of Pepsi and Fanta in the USSR. This is the only time when one company simultaneously produced products of both PepsiCo and The Coca-Cola Company.

In 1993, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the plant, which had previously belonged to the state, became private. In the following years, it underwent a complete reconstruction and replaced outdated equipment with new European equipment. The “Ochakovo” flagship beer brand was launched. Our company was the first in the world to produce beer in plastic bottles, as well as the first in Russia to produce beer in aluminum cans.

At the same time, we focused on producing kvass using traditional home technology, but on an industrial scale. The company's employees traveled across Russia collecting family recipes, and created ‘Ochakovsky’ kvass. In 2013, based on materials of the same expeditions, we reintroduced the almost forgotten original Russian white kvass: unfiltered, hearty, with a pronounced sour taste, and called it ‘Semeyniy Sekret’ (‘Family Secret’). ‘Ochakovo’ is still the only large producer of kvass that uses historically correct technology.

Since then, the company has grown and became a holding company with branches all over the country. We have several beer and soft drink factories in different cities of Russia, a winery with its own vineyards, agricultural enterprises for growing grain, a malthouse and other enterprises that help ‘Ochakovo’ maintain resource sovereignty and not depend on supplies from other companies.
