Heat Recovery Devices are mechanical components engineered to capture and transfer waste thermal energy from exhaust streams to incoming fresh air or fluids within ventilation and process systems. Core examples include fixed-plate heat exchangers, rotary thermal wheels (heat wheels), heat pipes, and run-around coil loops. Operating on the principle of heat transfer without cross-contamination, these devices pre-condition supply air—warming it in winter and cooling it in summer—using energy from the exhaust.
