The general principles of a heating system Heating systems are heating systems in which a heat generator, e.g. a gas boiler, an apartment, a building or even several buildings supply heat simultaneously. The centre of every heating system is the heat generator. A heating system is a combination of commercially available components such as heat generator, control, firing system, pipelines, radiators and other heat consumers. Its task is to supply recreation rooms with heat as required, reliably, economically, cost-effectively, environmentally friendly and energy-saving in such a way that a comfortable environment or the calculated room temperatures are achieved for the room users. At the same time, the required service water for physical hygiene can also be taken over by connecting a drinking water storage tank to the heat generator.The functional principle of a heating systemThe heating system is a closed water circuit. All components and heat consumers such as radiators, underfloor heating or wall heating are connected to each other by pipes and filled with the heat transfer medium. The heat generator keeps its water content at a preset temperature by burning natural gas or heating oil. When heat is required by opening a radiator valve, cold water flows from the radiator back into the heat generator, where the temperature of its water content drops. The heat generator restarts and heats its water again. At the same time, a circulation pump starts to deliver the heated water to the radiator. When the desired room temperature is reached at the radiator, the circulation pump switches off automatically and the heat generator stops the heating.
